Job Description: 

The Assistant Project Manager will learn the business and work under the Operations Manager providing status of resources and daily activity in the business. This person will also assist the field supervisors and keep them informed of supply chain activity, work order status, vendor issues, job efficiencies, and general statistics that accompany project work. Our client is looking for a professional with commercial construction experience that can relay all on-site topics such as quality, safety, logistics, scheduling, and more to the Operations Manager and owner of the company. The purpose of the role is to assist the field team, keep constant communication with management in the office and make sure production gets done right by overseeing and coordinating construction projects to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 

Duties/Responsibilities 

Using your field construction management and project management capabilities, you will: 

  • Attend all required meetings on time 
  • Complete all status updates, gather necessary information and present it. Verify all estimates are on time and assist where needed.  
  • Work the necessary hours per week to perform all duties and responsibilities promptly with a start time between 6-7 a.m.  
  • Attend Turn Over Meetings with Project Managers 
  • Assist in updating company production processes and field workflow  
  • Manage ongoing communication between office, field, and customers   
  • Report quality and safety status updates from Field Supervisors. Assist Field Supervisors with safety information and training materials for field work. 

 

Experience/Qualifications 

  • Must have clear understanding of job site safety  
  • Must have knowledge of products  
  • Must have ability to move and use ladders and power equipment; i.e., sprayers, power washers, etc.  
  • Must have knowledge of job preparation procedures  
  • Must be able to deal effectively with customers  
  • Must be able to deal effectively with employees
