Over the upcoming weeks, we are actively seeking experienced Sales Director candidates who possess a true passion for creating effective Sales Processes and leading and coaching sales professionals. As Sales Director, you will have a long-term opportunity to foster the growth of outstanding salespeople and transform them into even more accomplished sales professionals. You'll do so by utilizing proven sales methodologies, systems, and processes to support the company's ongoing dominance in the painting market.

Responsibilities of the Sales Director Role:

Reporting directly to the President/Owner, the Sales Director holds a pivotal role in driving the performance of the sales and business development team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing sales systems and processes, gaining buy-in and trust from the team to maximize their performance.
  • Cultivating a sales culture that dominates the market and provides crucial sales forecasting to drive growth, marketing, and hiring decisions.
  • Guiding and coaching the sales team through group meetings, one-on-one sessions, and ride-alongs to establish goals, monitor progress, provide praise, and facilitate development.
  • Spending 50% of your time in the field with the sales staff and closely collaborating with Production Managers and Business Development.
  • Planning and organizing sales goals while tracking results on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Managing budget review, forecasting, and sales planning for the upcoming year.

Key Performance Accountabilities:

As Sales Director, you will be accountable for:

  • Achieving sales revenue goals.
  • Delivering gross profit targets.
  • Increasing brand awareness in the communities served.
  • Providing effective coaching, feedback, and mentoring to the Sales Team (your success relies on their success).
  • Collaborating with all stakeholders and building trust with management, sales, and production teams.

  • Improving the team's closing rate and value per estimate.
  • Maximizing revenue per hour.

Experience Required:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in the Home Improvement “Services” Industry (Painting,Remodeling, Carpet, Cabinets, Coatings, construction etc.)
  • 3-5 Years as a Successful Sales Representative (Preferably in Services Industry
  • Excellent with technology and use of CRM 
  • Excellent experience in building sales processes, systems and tools, includindevelopmental tools (training, coaching)
  • Some marketing/lead generation experience, preferably in services industry
