Position Title: Foreman / Crew Lead / Field Supervisor (Commercial Painting)


Position Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on Field Supervisor to help lead and support our commercial painting projects. This is an entry-level management role designed for someone who has strong commercial painting experience and is ready to grow into project management.

You’ll work closely with the Owner and Project Manager to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and to high quality standards. This role requires someone who leads by example — willing to supervise crews while also jumping in to paint when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support & Field Oversight

  • Assist the Project Manager with daily field operations

  • Visit active job sites to monitor quality and ensure scope is followed

  • Take progress photos and document site conditions

  • Help crews stay aligned with prep standards and cleanliness expectations

Run Out-of-Town Projects

  • Travel out of town up to 2 weeks per month

  • Lead active job sites while remaining hands-on

  • Paint alongside crews as needed to meet schedules

  • Ensure prep, application, and production stay on track

Quality Control

  • Verify surface preparation and product application meet company standards

  • Identify issues early and ensure they are corrected before walkthroughs

  • Maintain high attention to detail throughout each project

Small Project Ownership

  • Manage and complete small jobs such as service calls, touch-ups, and one-day projects

  • Ensure professional communication and quality execution

Crew Leadership & Support

  • Help crews understand scope, expectations, and production goals

  • Assist with job start-ups and punch list completion

  • Support onboarding of new subcontractor crews

  • Build trust while holding teams accountable

Documentation & Communication

  • Use tools like CompanyCam to document progress and site conditions

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with leadership


Must-Have Qualifications

  • Active, clean driver’s license

  • Strong commercial painting experience (knowledge of products and application methods)

  • Experience running commercial painting projects

  • Ability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time

  • High attention to detail and quality standards

  • Strong organizational skills — able to manage multiple moving parts

  • Extreme ownership mindset — takes full responsibility for job outcomes

  • Coachable and team-oriented

  • Basic technology skills (photos, apps, documentation)

  • Strong problem-solving ability


Nice to Have

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • Basic understanding of job costing and production rates

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification

  • Experience training or mentoring other painters
