St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Elementary School Principal – Greenville, SC

If your personal mission includes a passion for achieving life-changing results for students, and you could picture yourself leading one of the only Catholic Elementary Schools in America with a 100% high school graduation rate and a 100% college acceptance rate, and you resonate strongly with the Parish commitment of every student becoming a future Christian leader, then apply here. RELOCATION STIPEND POSSIBLE.

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School in Greenville, SC (https://www.visitgreenvillesc.com/)
is seeking a new principal for the 2018-19 school year.  St. Anthony School was founded in 1951 to address the educational needs of a mostly minority neighborhood, and the student body is largely African-American and Baptist.

The education provided at St. Anthony School is rigorous and academically challenging, infused with a strong Franciscan philosophy where God, faith and service are integral to the school’s culture, and all members of the school community share this vision.  The school’s graduates, from its inception, have achieved a 90% graduation rate, and college acceptance, and for the last 7 years, a 100% rate…due to its high academic standards as well as the affirming, family-based culture among the school’s students, faculty, staff, parents and volunteers.

Following a capital campaign, a $6.2million, 26,000 sq-ft school was completed in 2013, and has continued its unique mission: to educate and inspire strong Christian servant leaders for the future.  St. Anthony School is populated by amazing students, faculty and staff, and enjoys exceptional parish community support (fundraising, volunteers, etc.) and a tremendous reputation among the schools in Greenville county.  This translates into strong funding by people both within and outside the parish and community, but who wholeheartedly support the unique mission, as the school does not depend upon student tuition.

The Principal will be responsible for carrying out the vision, mission and standards of St. Anthony School, as stated and set by the Parish and the Diocese of Charleston.   He/she will have a wonderful opportunity to bring creativity and innovation to a school that is already doing very well; there are no ‘big issues’ to fix – only a desire to make it even stronger, and to shepherd the powerful legacy of developing successful Christian leaders who will model what they learned while at St. Anthony School in their future lives and careers.

If participating in this powerful mission and legacy sounds like something you can and want to do, then St. Anthony School (http://www.stanthonygreenvillesc.org/)may very well be the place for you.

Because of the nature of this particular job and the organization in which the position resides, certain ‘must have’ criteria are critical that would normally not be required as a part of a non-sectarian organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Be a Practicing Catholic
  2. Have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Education or School Administration
